  • If you havn't figured this out by now, the reason you had clumps was cause of the ice. Put ice in after you shake the bottle.

    Cheers.

  • @TheMCTurdle Thanks for you input, but it's the type of protein powder that I used here. Spirutein is a thicker protein shake, and it clumps even without ice. With all other protein powders I haven't had any problem with clumping by using ice at the same time that I mix the drink.

  • Looks like it does the job. I'm curious though, wouldn't you normally crush the ice with an electric blender? The metal ball thing can't crush the ice (can it?? that would be really cool).

  • @weightlossfordudes No it doesn't crush the ice. It would be great if it did. It just breaks up the powder. Most protein powders dissolve pretty well in water so you can just shake it up in a regular bottle unless you want to make a smoothie with crushed ice. But the Spirutein protein powder is very thick, and it won't mix in a regular bottle...so you have to use a blender. With this blender bottle, you don't have to use a blender for the Spirutein if you are on the go.

  • Thanks for the review. Maybe next time you could add the water in first then the powder. Even when I use a blender the powder always sticks to the bottom if I add it first. I have to get to the Vitamin Shoppe and get the Spirutein drinks + wafers, though I have so much protein powder as it is.

  • @allsummersingle Yeah I will have to try the water first then the powder. But when I do that in the blender, the blender will throw it up into the lid and clumps of powder stick to the lid. lol. I think if I add the powder after the water and shake gently, it might work. You sound like me...I have 3 or 4 large containers of protein powder plus pre made protein drinks and protein bars. I like variety!

  • Try putting the water or milk in first then the powder, helps clumps less than my protein powders. It can also be how thick your powder is

  • Powder first? Ice Cubes? Ma'am you are fucking retarded.

  • One of the amazon reviews of spiru-tein said add the powder after the liquid. I didn't realize how thick it would get the first time I did it.

  • Shouldn't of put the big ass cubes of ice in there. It obviously made those clumps u saw in there.
