If by hating to see change you mean WB turning a memorable bastard of an antihero who is one of the most memorable characters ever created into Reeves, Not getting his nationality or even the basic pronunciation of his name right, Con/Stan/Tyne not Con/Stan/Teen! and treat material that they never had a hand in creating and bastardizing it then your absolutely right.
If you ever get a chance to pick up Hellblazer there's no question which is better the comic or the film.
The last film I ever saw with him that I enjoyed was Speed and one big reason for that was Dennis Hopper, Reeves was alright in it but Sandy Bollocks got really old fast and I was almost hoping Hopper would have blown her head off about halfway through the film.
I'm not into most comicbook films as they're IMHO a waste of celluloid that are purely designed to milk money, Usually by people who have no understanding of comics period.
I wasn't scared. It wasn't a stimulating or entertaining movie, these are my personal opinions and I'm not into the directors or comic books or any of that. I look at the movie, and I say if its good or not based on personal taste. Thats all.
LMAO! Sorry but Pan's Labyrinth was no kids movie, It was a masterpiece of horror and fantasy ranking right up there with some of Terry Gilliams best work.

Or anything with Keanu Reeves in it,

Personal taste, Well I am into directors and well made films, Plus comics which I am far more into as an artform than most current films these days.

Entertaining? it's a horror film and a rather intense one. What's your definition of a stimulating and entertaining movie?

And Pan's Labyrinth is probably one of the best cinematic attempts to recreate the primal essence of the fairy tales of old
pure and simple. If by a kids movie you mean a film that had a child as the central character what's your point?
