However because this is a translation into english it can be said in a number of different ways.

''I testify that there is no God except Allah''

is approximately equal to

''I bear witness that there is no God but Allah''

The more precise translation could perhaps be "I bear witness that there is no deity worthy to be worshipped except Allah"?
