@shroomangel Macabre was one of many names that pentagram went by before sticking with pentagram. They weren't happy with any of the names that they came up with so they pretty much said "fuck it... let's go with pentagram".

@TheEarthDefiled I am sure I helped support his drug habit but ya know, the guy was a really humble cat and a great singer too. He wrote me a two page letter, how many musicians would do that for a fan? I still have those 45's and the letter. One of them was by a band called Macabre which predates Pentagram, I believe the year was 1973, but the music is Pentagram I don't know why the 45 says Macabre but there ya go.

I bought the first album way back in 1985 in a small music store in Virginia Beach. It was recommended to me by this ominous figure who pulled it from the rack and said I might enjoy it. The ominous figure, who turned out to be quite amiable, was Mr. Liebling himself. I ended up really liking the record and wrote to Bobby using the address on the LP. He wrote back, and I ended up buying his 45's and other paraphernalia. Been a fan ever since!
