You will always see two white people anchoring the news, but you don't see two men anchoring the news anymore!

What a shocker! Look at that hair! My children were playing around and dug this up and they're seeing that once upon a time I really did have a job. As for Byron, we had a PR softball team that travelled the area and one viewer called Fran "Franch Foster."

Holy crap I forgot Joe Elmore was on Ch. 13! My dad worked at this station for many years up until the late 80's. This particular newscast not long before I was born.
I actually met Joe Elmore at a grocery store when I was living in Nashville back in 2001. He remembered working with my dad. And yeah I had to chuckle at the "OMG $1 gas!!!" If only it were that cheap again.
-
Everything that is happening now with gas and the flood water of Mississippi river happened back then see nothing has changed except gas is almost $4.00 and I laughed my ass off when the guy said they were trying to beat the river back but the river was winning.

@MediaWatchDawg Identical blazers. Now that's what I call a team...
-
OMG!! Look at Joe Elmore!! LOL
Man that takes me back....when the male anchors wore identical jackets and those sets looks absolutely primitive now!
-
lol how funny. You can see Joe Elmore these days on the Speed Channel on Sat mornings doing the show Horsepower TV.
-
Identical blazers - did they also work part-time at Hertz?
-
Fran Fawcett. Man, nobody could stand her at that station. Joe Elmore also hosted PM Magazine in the early 80's. We did a story on the making of that show for cable when I was a student at Memphis State.
-
geez, how many Ford Granadas were at the gas station that day?
-
Joe Elmore strikes a resemblance to Jon Heder in his role in the movie "Blades of Glory" with Will Ferrell

Any newscasts showing the removal of office of Ray Blanton?
Do you have any more of this newscast, such as the close?
