Intro to Cinar's 1997 animated TV series The Adventures of Paddington Bear, made in association with Filmfair, Canal J, ITV, and Teletoon. Based on the stories by Michael Bond.
Leaving Darkest Peru to travel to England, Paddingtons arrives in London and meets the Brown family who adopt him. The friendly bear has various adventures both in his new home in England and with the friendly Mr. Gruber around the World. The series lasted fourteen episodes, each containing three stories apiece.
Created on October 13, 1958 by Michael Bond, then a camera-man for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Paddington is today one of the most recognizable faces in children's literary and has appeared in three animated television series and is currently the advertising mascot for Marmite.

IN 2003 I travel to Peru Huancayo and i was surprised to see that they were selling some very very nice cups with paddington bear draw on it,,but still in Peru nobody knows him LOL

Paddington met the Brown family at Paddington Station in London, England and the Brown's decided to name him after it. I don't recall him ever having a different name prior to meeting the Browns in any of the three TV series or the original books.
