The most powerfull overture in the history of the opera. conducted by James Levine at the met in 1975. soon i will post more of this amazing production.

Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901) was not only the greatest opera composer in history but he was also one of the leading figures of the Risorgimento that inspired the Italian people to fight against the austrian oppression and change the history of Italy. He dedicated his vast fortune to help the people. He built a hospital, a retirement home for elderly people, and during his life helped all he could.
He changed forever the theater, the drama, and of course the music, by making his characters unique, each one of them with a unique personality.

VIVA VERDI!!!!!!!!!!
