I do not own this music.

Three exercises from my riding lesson last Saturday on Acorn Farm's lesson horse extraordinaire, Dream Boy Kobe. The emphasis was on basics and speed control. I love this song and have been trying to work it in for a while now!

  • @BLiSSFULxFiLLY Wow! How kind! Thank you so very much for this. It's the first thing I read this morning, and you've made my day. You're right, I do need to learn to relax. As you say, I'm in a wonderful place to learn. I have a trainer whom I trust completely (and admire as a rider) and a great lesson horse. Relaxing has never been my strong suit, but I think it will come as I build up confidence. And that will happen quicker with little boosts like your comment! Thanks again!

  • You're a great rider : ) You're at a wonderful place to learn and looks like you have some awesome horses to learn on. Relax while you're riding! Go with the horse, trust the horse. I see it after your jumps you begin to become more tense. Enjoy the ride and trust the movement. You have a ton of potential! I think when you become more comfortable with the situation you'll relax more but in this case, if you relax more you'll become more comfortable and Kobe will respond to that : ) Good luck!

  • @equistera No, it's not Kobe who has the speed problem! It's me! As a novice rider, I haven't yet learned how to assert myself when I feel like a horse is going too fast for me. So my trainer had me do exercises where Kobe usually starts to enjoy himself and get a little frisky, so that I would feel the extra speed and bring him back to a pace where I feel comfortable. That's what we were practicing here. Kobe is a fabulous lesson horse, and he played his part perfectly!

  • does he have speed problems? he doesn't look it, then again it is only 1:23
