Sam Mendes Richard III - Epidaurus Ancient Theatre

The ancient theatre of Epidaurus is hosting one of the best theatre performances of the year this summer. Sam Mendes and Kevin Spacey meet again, after the Oscar winning movie American Beauty and present to you Richard III -- the history play by William Shakespeare. The play is considered to be one of Shakespeare's greatest plays, and will definitely be one of summer's greatest events. So do not miss the opportunity to watch these two Oscar winners in action.
The Bridge Project began in 2009 as a three year project between The Old Vic (London), BAM (USA) and Neal Street. The Bridge Project is hosted for the second time at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, following The Winter's Tale in 2009.

Sam Mendes returns to the stage to direct Old Vic Artistic Director Kevin Spacey in the title role of Richard III in the final season of The Bridge Project. This transatlantic endeavour reunites them for the first time since American Beauty, for which they both won BAFTA and Academy Awards.

The full company is drawn from leading American and British actors and embarks on an international tour prior to a residency at BAM in New York.

Sam Mendes was founder and Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse for a decade and has directed theatre at the RSC, National Theatre, plus in the West End and on Broadway. His film credits include Road to Perdition and Revolutionary Road.

Old Vic Artistic Director Kevin Spacey has most recently appeared in Inherit the Wind, Speed-the-Plow, A Moon for the Misbegotten and Richard II at The Old Vic.

@laertof η αληθεια ειναι οτι χρονια ειμουν σε ερασιτεχνικη ομαδα θεατρου ( που οστοσο οι δουλειες της δεν ηταν και τοσο "ερασιτεχνικες" σε σχεση με τα Ελληνικα δεδομενα). Σκηνοθετουσαν διαφοροι που ειναι γνωστοι ηθοποιοι και μεσα απ αυτην ξεπηδισαν και μερικα ατομα που ασχολουνται επαγγελματικα με την υποκριτικη (πχ Ευγενεια Δημητροπουλου). Γενικα τους εχω δει απο κοντα τους ελληνες ηθοποιους πως λειτουργούν και ποια ειναι η ψυχολογια τους εν τελη , ωστε να λεω αυτα που λεω...
