The truth is joe lee dunn is a great guy and Coach sherrill is the king of trying to get rise outta of you. He does it cause he loves yeah. The old bear bryant way of tough love is hard to find. Love Coach Sherrill. No one can get his player up to beat a big team other then sherrill. Guy is either hated or loved. Pitt, Aggie's, MSU, love him.

State had just beat Memphis in a heartbreaker, Joe Lee Dunn was Memphis's defensive coordinator, one year removed from being state's dc. After the win, Jackie Sherrill starts talking trash to Tommy West saying "Tell Joe Lee I'm glad he circled the game on his calendar" That's when Tommy starts saying "That's bullshit for you to say that, you can tell him yourself, you should have more class than that." Sounds like an asshole thing to say. A coach should just say "good game"

They had a discussion off camera about this and Tommy West literally screamed out his favorite Korn song verse ♪Feelin' like a freak on a leash♪ and hit Jackie Sherrill upside his head with a trash can lid. I saw all of this and was shocked.
