The Black does have som RAM materials used which were incorporated into sawtooth shaped sections of the skin of the aircraft, as well as cesium-based fuel additives to reduce the exhaust plumes' visibility on radar.

However it's still very debated about how effective these things really were. But you're right that altitude and speeds was it's primary "savior".

^I agree in full on the 'best aircraft' in history comment, but only stealth characteristic it has is altitude and speed. It is not made from RAM (radar absorbent material) nor is it's design particularly stealthy. The shuttle comment is correct to a point, shuttle are not jets so they don't count.

Jetfire is a SR-71 "Blackbird" military spy plane. It currently holds the record for the highest altitude of any jet craft (not including shuttles) It also has stealth capabilties and hardly any weapons except for a bomb deployment bay on the underside of the craft. It remains one of the best aircraft in aviation history.
