I've just purchased a machine to start sewing handbags. Unfortunately I was in an accident and the machine was damaged. I'm trying to figure out just how much damage. Excuse my ignorance but the distance of my needle to the walking plate is 0 so I can't seem to insert any fabric. There's talk of a knee release. Can you please explain the needle setting aswell as what lever to use to release the leather? Thanks.
