This is me fighting in the Copa Pacifica tournament. I won the first fight by kimura, second fight - I felt like I totally dominated the guy, i had him in a number of submissions but he ended up winning on points.. whatever.. ill get em next time!

the guy pulled guard swept you numerous amounst of times had side control had ur back you couldnt even pass his guard....i mean you gave a good fight but why are you talking stupid shit?

How did he have my back? He didnt have two hooks in. I swept him but didnt get any points for it, I agree, he deserved points for the sweeps he got, but surely i should have been given points for the sweep i got? All im saying is, i had him on the defensive the whole time, not the other way around. Are you from clebers or something? lol - look im not complaining, the judges are always terrible at these things, next time i wont leave it to them.

I hope you have worked out your scoring system by now. Being a blue belt you should now this already. You have to maintain control after the sweep to get points for it. You could of got an advantage point or two as you were more aggressive but he still had you you beat by a lot. Advantage points are handed out when the opponent is clearly stalling. Besides advantage points there are no big points for almost submissions. Learn how the scoring system works so you wont be shocked next tournament.

also, instead of simply trying the main path for your rubber guard...at 5:20 when he reaches for your head...pull crackhead control and you can lock his arm to your chest...then do the pump and the arm bar should still be there...ive found the rubber guard a nice thing to just throw at someone in a gi tournament but it is just too difficult because they can grab...your base guard game is good...rely on that...it can give you so many more options...ie lapel chokes

I just watched the 2nd fight...I scored it 7-0 with you getting one advantage...He scored 4 for two sweeps and after escaping your arm bar/triangle attempt, he secured side control getting 3 for a guard pass...you didn't get points for your sweep because you were unable to secure the mount...ibjjf rules say that you must secure the position for 3-4 seconds in order for points to be awarded...
