Kitten Sucks Thumb...errr Foot

He started this when he was a really young kitten. I had to raise him from 2 weeks old. So I assume this is because he lost his mom so early (she died and I rescued him and his sister).

He does this 3 times a day. most times he'll be sleeping, jump up all of a sudden and plop into my lap. I can't bring myself to ignore him.

Everytime I see this it brings back great memories though. 2 years ago.. Wow. Course he's a fatty now full grown

Yeah, mine doesn't do it as much, but he lays in that position in my arms still. it's cute. he starts to nose at his paw like he's going to do it then stops.

the problem he had, was that his paws grew and now he can't get any suction to latch on to. lol

One of my cats sucks his own tail (he's 7)and my other cat will suck the tail suckers front leg like yours does. One cat was rescued on the highway and the other was a stray so I am thinking they didn't get what they needed as a baby.

mine does this .. it's so annoying. Gets all wet plus the sound of the sucking is annoying

I had the same thing to you, I was addopted a five days kitten, she lost her mummy and she's like 4 months now and she still doin' it
