In his youth, Mr. Jigoro Kano had studied Ju-Jitsu of the old school Kito. Wanting to keep the spirit of the principles he had learned and had guided the creation of the Kodokan Judo, he instituted the Koshiki-No-Kata. It is the representation of ancient forms of combat Kito school to the feudal age, when users were warriors dressed in their heavy armor, which explains the apparent slowness and stiffness of the attitudes of practitioners this Kata.
The Kata contains 14 techniques.

@ByLuckySC2 This is one of the "kata"s or forms which demonstrate a principle. This particular kata is called "Koshiki no kata" which was used by heavily armored samurai. It looks silly but it is effective when you and your opponent wears heavy armor.
