Jimmy Leeward of the Galloping Ghost lost his life on 9/16/2011 in a tragic crash that has killed many other innocent bystanders. Jimmy had a lifetime of experience behind him, and a very obvious equipment failure was to blame for this. It's a horrible day for everyone involved.

@Dbelenit This crash had nothing, absolutely NOTHING, to do with the age of the pilot. I hope to God that I'm in good as shape at 50 as this guy was at 67.

It's odd but you don't get the real feel for how close were were in this video. We had components land about 100 feet from us. As you can tell, it was scary enough that I told my son to get down.
