Even more so in the original comic this is based on. His dialogue was a lot like the Thing's. He says to the Metal Master, "Mister, the Hulk ain't the whimperin' kind!" for example.

Grey's personality and color is the original Hulk personality. It was later replaced by HULK SMASH
