I don't know about any of you out there but Rutger Hauer is one of my favorite actors. And this movie The Blood of Hereos IS my favorite Movie next to LadyHawk.

the 80's was such a better time for movies... more focus on creativity and good ideas than writing movies around actors, big budget FX, and emerging technologies. This cost a fraction of any of the new transformers movies and kicks alot more ass.

Holy fuck that looks sick!!! Anyone else here because of the sincerely fucking rad super~group called The Blood Of Heroes??? Literally a band that based their entire theme of music content on this movie, there's a song that describes "The Game" and sounded familiar so I looked it up and found that out... dark, brutal, experimental, dub, rock, metal and drum n bass mash~up, good times.

I just watched this yesterday and I liked it. I was a bit confused about how jugger was played at first but I caught on pretty quickly. I read some of the comments and i thought I read that jugger is a real sport? Is it as brutal as the movie makes it out to be?

I could never figure out why the critics panned this movie. I think is one of the best post-apocalyptic action movies ever - and it's actually a sports flick! Very entertaining...

Rutger rules, he had so many great movies-blade runner, lady hawke, the blood of heroes, blind fury, the Hitcher, split second, surviving the game, and night hawks. I always thought he would've been the perefct candidate to play Cable(x-men) especially after seeing this movie-although now he's a bit too old. Sad to see his career go downhill, wish he would have a late career comeback.

love this film and rutger hauer.this guy is so awesome,even in his late 60's.love him in hobo with a shotgun.my favorite films by him are the hitcher,blade runner and wanted dead or alive.
