  • NEC ROCKS!!!

  • trains up north rock

  • I enjoy this video a lot... especially since I go there often and pass it going home on college breaks.

  • really fast gp 40

  • the ACES only runs with 4 bi level cars a

p40 and aem-7 njt train in the back

  • Great Shots!

  • very cool. nice horn at 1:03

  • Then it was an odd non revenue run because it was running in reverse later on in the video.

  • I never said it was ACES to begin with. ACES is one P40BH and one ALP-44 with 4 Multilevels that say ACES. That move at 0:30 was definitely not a revenue run. It had to be an equipment move of some sort

  • Now I don't think it was the ACES. Maybe a holiday extra going to Atlantic City perhaps?

Otherwise that isn't the ACES because the ACES runs with much less cars and very different (minus the ALP-44) equipment.

  • Edit: The two long distance trains she caught were both trains 20 and 19, the Northbound, and Southbound, Crescent. The Meteor runs with 3 Viewliners. Apologies for the error.

  • I just watched this video again because I am going railfanning tomorrow around 11:30-1:30 timeframe so I can catch some afternoon tail. Wish me luck!

  • well the ACES going southbound runs diesel loco from NYP or from atlantic city to frankford junction in philadelphia,Pa then electric going north to NYC or east to atlantic city line.

  • What was that at 0:30?

  • yeah true

  • But its tough because they have to comply w/ the overhead wires and such... besides the How Lane overpass aint that far away (its a few yards south of the station). So thats the only solution I could think of.

  • i think they should make a bridge or a underground tunnel like at princeton junction.

  • Yeah when I railfanned in the fall you can see the football team practicing, and in the spring you see the sprinters. But, thats a primary reason. Also, there are lots of houses right near the station and close to the tracks. Very unsafe practices for the homeowners as well as the students who cross them.

  • oh i never knew that

  • Its also because New Brunswick High School is right behind the tracks. Happens alot.

  • i know when i went there i saw a kid almost get hit

  • Thats common at Jersey Avenue. Don't know why. Don't attack me here, but just for curiosity, I attempted to cross the tracks at Jersey Avenue. I looked both ways with each track I crossed. However, knowing it could be the death of me if I ever mistepped or misread a track, I stopped after two tracks and walked back.

  • at did you see those people croosing the tracks

  • yes they do

  • Bi-Levels look great at any speed.
