The woman in the background with the strong voice is actually Martha Wash. I believe Michael is singing the background as well.

Michael, Prince and Smokie Robinson worked on this song. :)

@kattvictoria2000 Sweetie, Rebbie isn't next to the oldest, she IS the oldest. And contrary to your misguided reason, she "waited" to show she could sing because she got married & stated a family at a young age. Get your facts straight & don't post ignorance, PLEASE
-
@saucedupbj: I could not disagree with you more...in my opinion, the best SINGER in this family is Randy, who also wrote & co wrote some of the Jacksons biggest hits (Shake Your Body Down To The Ground for one). Too bad he only had 1 solo album :(

This is just awful. No disrespect to the Jackson family, but some of them should not have gone solo (hello, Jermaine & "Dynamite"?)

The marimba-like sound in passages reminds me of the band Toto's song "Africa". Bandmember Jeff Porcaro wrote several songs for Rebbie's brother MJ (who sings in the background "Centipede!"). So a connection might be there. The reference to the crawling aspect of the Centipede and the reference to heat may be connected to MJ's (who wrote the song) awareness of Kundalini. This was a subject addressed by Maurice White when he wrote "Serpentine Fire". I once heard him explain this on radio.

@Ruhe1986 ROFL, yes! Funny thing is, we had sooo many of these perverted songs back then and hey got the message across without mentioning b!tch, hoe, etc. I love it, and Rebbie killed this song!

-
@Ruhe1986 You really don't get it? Pay attention to the words closely, LOL

No one ever made a song about an insect sound hotter.
