senator barack obama was in my neighborhood when i was coming from the grocery store. i got to shake his hand (smooth soul shake) and shouted "keep that funk on it" and he replied "thats what i'm gonna do"

as he left i held the camera with one hand while the other was raised over my head funk sign flyin high smiling ear to ear it was exciting.

secret service is very very impressive. all the black vehicles had maryland plates. the one looked like the guy from matrix, it was impressive how things were handled and how orderly all the different professional participants were from the law officers to the satellite uplink truck guy.




i dont remember if i looked in his eyes or not or even if i could or if it was movin so fast i didnt have a chance to. im sure i didnt look away even though the excitement level was high.

I really hope your right. he has made a lot of speeches that seem to contradict himself, such as his speech stating that he feels that gays should have equal rights. but he has also said that he does not believe they should be aloud to use the term marriage. maybe hes pandering? but if so, I'm not sure that makes him any more noble. I live half the year in the states, the other half in Canada, so it gives me a lot of perspective. i understand his challenge, only time will tell.

its actually very likely that obama is a "non-believer" himself. he even gave a speech on why government and religion can't mix, quoting verses from deuteronomy. so we should be good as far as that's concerned.
