Singapore artist Michael Lee talks about his bad videos, his abuse of mahjong tiles, his hobby of ogling at construction sites, and his recent artwork series Second-Hand City (2010-11), a set of 8 episodes of architectural blueprints of imaginary buildings and cities, which paid homage to various seminal thinkers, creators and activists, namely Italo Calvino, M Knight Shyamalan, Gaston Bachelard, Brodsky & Utkin, David Attenborough, Liu Thai Ker, Al Gore and Chris Ware. Second-Hand City is among 15 finalists of the APBF Signature Art Prize 2011 Exhibition, held at Singapore Art Museum, during 11 Nov 2011 - 4 Mar 2012. This video recording was made by Amy Chau on the evening of 11 Nov 2011, the first night of public opening of the exhibition, during the Artist Talk in the museum.
