This is the attract mode (intro sequence) for the never-released Sega-CD game Smoke & Mirrors starring Penn & Teller. This game was fully completed yet never released, which is unfortunate to say the least since it's an amazing game! Well planned, innovative use of the genesis controller with single-player and multi-player (sort of) games. Some of the mini-games are single-player (Smoke & Mirrors and the infamous Desert Bus) while the others (What's Your Sign, Mofo The Psychic Gorilla, Buzz Bombers & Sun Scorcher) involve you sneakily fooling and playing pranks on your friends (enemies?) through hidden button commands, hidden game menus, etc. Truly a shame it never came out, as I think it would have done very well at the time.

  • It was partially made in response to Janet Reno coming down on violent video games.

I love Penn and Teller and they should try taking a shot at another game, especially now with what games can do.

  • If you play for 8 hours and make it to Las Vegas, you get exactly ONE point. Then you get the chance to drive back to Tucson for 8 more hours and get ONE more point.

  • They should port this game to source engine

  • Once someone finishes after 8 hours. They just realized that they wasted their time and they are still in the same place. I rather watch the view from my window for 8 hours.

  • Not even any passengers in the rearview.

  • Fucking greatest intro ever.

    GUITAR SOLO

  • lol epic game...

  • It doesn't look like anything is on the road lol

  • Your description is incorrect. "Desert Bus" is one of the only fully-functional parts of the game. Most of the game is unusable and NOT functional.

So the game is NOT fully completed.

  • Actually, It did not get released. But although... It was expected to ship it by April of 1995.
