In this film, Steve "Krusher" Joule talks about his life and how it has been influenced by Heavy Metal.

Steve "Krusher" Joule is a heavy metal DJ - Black Sabbath played a large part in his musical education. Trevor "Clever Man" Dan fired Krusher from GLR (where he presented Krusher's Monday Metal Mayhem) because he wouldn't play Def Leppard's "Adrenalize" album - Dan "shoved Krusher's job up his arse" after Dan came under pressure from Phonogram records. Wurzel from Motorhead, Johnny Violent from Ultraviolence and Krusher released the track "Jump!" as WVKEAF.

Jordan Baseman's work encompasses contemporary portraiture and documentary. There is a strong social/anthropological aspect to his practise, which is rooted in the unpredictable nature of the interview/observation processes. The resulting work focuses primarily on belief systems, the motivation of the human spirit and lived experience.

  • Droogies, boozers, strumpet and losers Krusher kalling!!! Thanks for watching and your comments. Just a quick note to let you know that I'm still alive despite those hideous rumours and working on a pilot that if any terrestial TV station has a clue what the world wants to watch WILL SHOW! Don't hold your breath though, their idea of rock/metal is still something to do with the Iron Age. Also working on an art instillation with Dave Lights (Iron Maiden) and Chris Labzda. Please spread the word!!

  • Ah, memories of when Kerrang! was still worth reading back in the mid-late 80's. Geoff "Deaf" Barton, Krusher Joule, Mick Wall, Howard "HoJo" Johnson, Steffan "Cheeseburger" Chirazi, Ross Halfin....all writers/designers/photographers I used to read avidly every week. Course you tell the kids today and they tell you to shut the kcuf up, Granddad....but what the kcuf do they know?!

  • This guys a total legend, I remember the late night rock show Raw Power/Noisy Mothers well. It was the only rock coverage I got to witness back in the day and this man presented it superbly.

I raise a beer to you Krusher.
