Alex Nowrasteh is a policy analyst at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Since he is an expert on Immigration, I thought it would be really interesting for my audience to hear. Enjoy!

@jed371 Unlikely that white people will disappear given the high percentage of white people in this country and the fact that immigrant birth rates decline over time. The most beneficial outcome would be that immigrant intermarry with native British people. This will remove the problem entirely as people will become better integrated. Nor will that affect the white race, as the majority will remain white. Everyone has a percentage of black, asian, etc. ancestry anyway.

@DarthMaul8065 Yes white people are dissapearing. white people will be a minority in Britain within 50 years at the current net migration and birth rates

@jed371 There is an influx of immigrants but that does not mean white people are "disappearing". There is certainly no harm in British people emigrating to America.
DarthMaul8065 3 months ago
@DarthMaul8065 no because white people are already dissapearing from Britain too much as it is

@MysterySparkStudios I think there are quite a few British people who would want to immigrate to America, but it is quite difficult, as you say. I have a British friend who would like to live in America eventually. Fortunately, I am a dual citizen, so I can live in both countries. I think emigration from Britain should be made easier because America shares the same culture, language and values as the UK and is, in some respects, more English than England itself.

I heard that its very hard for say a british person to emigrate to the USA, and the only way to get a visa is to prove your worth in business/ unique skills needed in the USA. Are the laws so strict on Europeans because they are richer and are going to have an easier chance of getting into America (as they could afford it) and may come in the thousands. Is there a fear that because of the recession that European people may just flock in the thousands because of lowering living conditions?

No one has a problem with immigrants. Its the illegals (trespassers) that are causing problems.
