"TARTUFFE"

An over-the-top version of Moliere's classic tale of love and hypocrisy.

Directed by Darcie Flansburg. Adapted from various sources by Jim Marbury. Photography by Gabriel Morales.

Starring a stellar cast of award-winning actors from across the Inland Empire.

Premiering at the Esplanade Arts Center in San Jacinto, CA. Playing Fridays-Sundays, April 17 - May 2. Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, Sundays at 2 pm.

  • The actress who plays Dorine is very good with her facial expressions. Orgon seems distracted-rather than obsessed with Tartuffe-because he is looking at a paper between his lines. The message is clear that he prefers Tartuffe's welfare even over his wife's though. This seems beautifully designed. The lighting is striking.

  • Love the resetting. Helps to show its modern relevance. Kind of reminds me of my father, always the last to know and always caring about the wrong thing. This Dorine nailed it! Well done to you both.
