  • I used water and it did not do any harm when it got sucked into the motor. It clears out fast and does not smoke. Try restricting the hoses to slow down the movement. I took a vice grip and gently pinched both hoses in the jaw and then slowly loosened the jaw till I saw the water move. I then adjusted the synching screw till they were balanced.

  • I used 1/4 inch clear vinyl tubing I bought from Menards (our local buliding supply store). The brand name of the tubing is Watts and the part number is SVEB20 42143220. Be careful to keep from touching hot engine parts like the exhaust or the tubing will melt.

  • No Problem.

  • What kind of problems show up if the carbs are out of sync?

  • THANK YOU for this. After watching this. I had a bit of a small learning curve (and stupid mistakes), but i got it done exactly as you showed using the tubing with a couple of vice grips to restrict the flow. after i tuned it, i removed the pliers and re micro adjusted it perfectly. the bike runs very much smoother, no burbs or backfiring! I am adding in a couple of pigtails to make the hookups even easier in the future as the Manometer is hanging on the wall.

  • Als flüssigkeit ist 2 takt öl ist besser.

  • Diese einstellung bei 950 - 1050 U/min vornehmen.

Wenn standgas steigt dann wieder auf 950 - 1050 U/ min runterdrehen.

  • Im sure this method works great if your carbs are close to being synced. However, if they are not then the stronger vaccuum will suck whatever you have in that tube into the piston. I say this only because i just had it happen to me.... I had both ends hooked up to the vaccuum connections and started the bike and then watched as the water got sucked into the front piston....I was going to use 2 cycle but i didnt have enough.... Shame on me...Oh well im sure it will just evaporate...eventually..

  • Thanks for the video. Should I look for a peticular size of vacuum tubing?

  • Thanks for this video, my V Star 1100 thanks you too!

  • Thank you for taking the time to make this video. This one is a keeper for me and my Vstar. Looks like I can get all the materials needed at the local Home Depot. Thanks
