The Decemberists Concert thoughts

Spread the word, don't ban the media, this is to help spread their great songs and the talent. This is obviously my opinion, and I am a big supporter of photography and film so I was ticked when I was threatened over filming.

I think it was really random who they were targeting about recording. I was recording clips (not whole songs) with my really crappy camera and they didn't say anything to me, but yelled at the guy next to me with the fancy camera. Also, I don't think they kicked the prof. photographers out. I was right in front and I think they were allowed to take pictures for the first song or so, and once they took their shots they left...I didn't see them get kicked out or anything.

Maybe I saw something different, but I work as a professional photographer, and there is no way that a good one would have left that early. Also, a few security guards were talking beside me, then went over and told the photogs something, and they all left. They were all gone within 5 minutes, which is weird.

That is a very good point. I doubted it would be the bands idea. The guards were really rude to me. I have been to other events there, so I was surprised by such a reaction. Oh well, still a great show.

Also, I doubt it's the band. Colin purposefully poses for people's cameras.

That's so weird. We were right in the front and were taking videos and photos galore and the security guards did nothing about it. They were right there. We were up against the rail.
