  • Wow! nothing like taking a trip back in time...1963-1966! My youngest son just caught me with tears in my eys. It is hard to explain the feelings one getts seeing their old school which may be so close yet so far away..Thanks for the memories of those hallways.

  • For you, who want to visit. Time is important, as the ever growing new building is creeping closer and closer. The Principal of the now German school thinks that within 2-3 years, the property will be bought and "all will come down, including the athletic field. Please contact Mr. Martin, who will be happy to arrange a visit for you. The new policy is that "all visits" must be pre-arranged with the school staff.

  • 2OAK2,

Just think the butterflies I got, when I walked inside the building with Mr. Martin. Yea, those were the days, weren't they?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from a fellow "Eagle" 1968-1970

  • thanks for the video. my sister went there during the 60's. i went to the grade school byt the motor pool. we lived at gibbs caserne. from my understanding the shopping area is all gone (little america)

  • Nice! I was there 79-81 and lived across the street from the school and the Idle Hour Theatre (now gone). I too had Mr. Martin for photography.

  • Thank you for posting this. I also remember Mr. Martin as he loaded all my ceramics in the kiln one night and we thought they'd been stolen. I still have the pieces. Danke!

  • @Roadking1970 One facet of life that has always been a mystery to me - why is it that when you turn around and look backwards, things take on a rosy hue? How else to explain the dewy-eyed comments here. Served two years of hard time at this penal colony (64-66) and I'll flat out tell you, it was one giant dung hole. One of my happiest memories - looking out the window of a PanAm jet while I was leaving this open air sewer. Tempted to report this video as inappropriate content - lol

  • Beth from '77--still miss the place! And Geral Martin is the best!

  • Would love Mr Martin's contact information! I am now teaching Photography and think of him a lot lately. Is he still around?
