I think it is the Draconian flat notes that are getting stuck in my head, that are warping my ability to hear lyrics without seeing how they seem to puzzle side snap together., in seemingly opposing patterns. Like those big frames and a big suit,who would have thought they ought to be slapped together? Yes Elvis won, in the funky department. :)

i have just realised that after years of slagging off elvis costello i am actually profoundly jealous of this incredibly talented and (presumably) brave man. people like him must be so fed up with people like me hating on them to relieve the the frustration of their own inadequacy. sorry about all that negative energy elvis. im going to make a cup of tea now. im still in shock about this. credit where its due. easier said than done
