Thanks for telling us what the small pieces are! :D We've seen pieces like that before, not sure if all pieces like that are antennas, but always wondered what they were. :D

Thank you Dion! Yeah, I've been a member of the museum since it opened about 10 years ago, so I can go for free any time and I always enjoy it, and all the cool stuff they do there!
Hope you have a great weekend!

Great video!! :D Those models look really detailed!! :D At 0:37, what are the small pieces coming from the front of the plane?

Thanks guys! It's amazing, some of these guys have the skill to even make detailed paintings on the faces of the pilots, which are only 1/4 inch across!
Those are antennas from an early German radar. The Heinkel 219 Owl was used as a night fighter- American bombers hit Germany during the day but British bombers flew at night, so these would use radar to sneak in behind & try to shoot them down.

Models are so much fun to build. I built one for school, but since it was pretty good, the teacher kept it. I really liked it.
Those models look really cool, I wish I could see them all in person.

That's really cool David! It's a great complement when the teacher thinks it good enough to keep!
The only problem for me is that I've always got sick to my stomach, and headaches, really easy, from all kinds of things, but the paint, thinner and glue always would make me sick- but I still liked making them so much that I think I made something like 2 dozen or more planes, plus a destroyer, the WW2 aircraft carrier Enterprise, which was beautiful, the battleship Arizona, etc.
:D
