Feminism and Feminist Theology

Watson say that God as a He limits the communion of the divine to an all-male nuclear family and that as an alternative, she suggested that people pray to God as a She instead of a He. Other alternative ways of naming God were suggested by some Feminist Theologians. According to Julian of Norwich, God should be called as both Father and Mother. According to Johnson, the Holy Trinity is a community of equals. By saying this, feminist theologians state that a community should be without patriarchal hierarchy it should be a community of love. McFague suggested that the Trinity be the Mother, Lover and Friend. Some feminists believe that marriage enslaves women into a patriarchal structure and that motherhood stops women from being truly fulfilled as a human being. However, other feminists believe that motherhood entails sacrifice, love and care which lead to a deeper understanding of theology and those women fulfill themselves through motherhood.

More radial feminists leave Catholic Christianity in the belief that the church and its teachings are highly patriarchal. They reject the male patriarchal god and search for the female matriarchal goddess. These women found Thealogy which refers to the divine as a goddess and they only celebrate women. This great mother goddess also allows women to see themselves as truly like the goddess. These women have their own rituals to find the goddess within by dances and chants which is believed to have originated from Carl Jung.

The church is against Witchcraft and Gnosticism but the church and feminist theology do agree on god exuding motherhood and the equality in marriage. The bottom line is that the church and feminist theology is for equal rights and not for extreme feminism and male god language.

Feminist theology is an ABOMINATION as it wants to replace the male God ,Creator,Father,Son ,Head ,Master ,Counselor by a false feminine divinity (idolatry).

If God is refered to as 'he' because our language doesn't have a word for a genderless but not androgynous being then one would probably realize that God is not a being at all but an entity.
