A newcomer running for public office, I am excited to bring my 20 years of public policy and health care experience to serve the people of RI State Senate District 3 in Providence. For the past eight years, as a resident the East Side of Providence, I have worked to ensure a better quality of life for Rhode Island senior citizens and people with disabilities.

Effective Public Policy Leadership
Facilitated a collaborative process that brought the Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) to Providence.
Leads a broad stakeholder initiative in RI to remove barriers to employment for people with disabilities: including health insurance, housing, & transportation.
Worked with the late Christopher Reeve and over 100 provider and consumer groups to remove life-time caps from health insurance policies.
Created the first US Senate/House Bipartisan Caucus on Retirement Income Security for Americans.
