"Eskimo" is, I think, the Danae name for the Inuit, and I believe it means "the meateaters"...a testament to whose vocabulary at first contact became the (then) acceptable term. My apologies to all concerned if this information is incorrect or inaccurate.

Yeah, qiviut's spun into a 2 ply yarn. At least the stuff from the Palmer Musk Ox Farm.

I have friends who are spinsters (ie. they spin wool). Is Qiviut spun into a yarn or is it handled another way?

No you are wrong
In Alaska, Eskimo may be acceptable to the Yupik, Iñupiat & Cupik, but since this is a Canadian production, Inuit is preferred.

Their winter coat's not pronounced the way he said, it's pronounced KIV-EE-YOOT, not KWEH-VIT or whatever he said. But I like the stuff. In my town there's a Musk Ox Farm just to produce this stuff. You can get 2-3 trashbags full of the stuff off one animal come springtime. Qiviut's softer then kashmire but doesn't shrink in water...10 times warmer too. Sorry I can't help but ramble about musk ox.
