yeah i heard that this is the last year (2008) for open cockpit cars which in my opinion is stupid cause i find they look better hopefully some people agree with me

no, it was meant to be 2009 was to be the last year for open cockpit cars but the aco are thinking of scraping that now. but yeh closed cockpit cars look like bugs

good points, but auto racing is to political these days! regulations, mergers of auto companies and synergies, huge corporate involvement - I sure do miss the old days of IMSA and CAN-AM racing!

Porsche has no desire to enter P1 since they are part of VAG as is Audi, and VAG maintains that as long as Audi is competing, Porsche will never enter P1.

Porsche isn't in VAG.... they have very close ties to the group by they are not officially a member.... but they have shown interest in purchasing Volkswagen which means they'd own everything VW does
