Imagine all the administrative bullshit you'd have to go through if you ever lost your phone.

Sounds great and would clearly solve many criminal identity related problems. If there was a central organiser to the system then they would have the power to shut your whole life down - you would fail to be you for anyone who didn't recognise you, the same would happen if the technology malfunctioned as electronic technology perpetually does.

I like your idea, but please stop spreading the rumor that Chip & Pin is infallible. No such system exists and the terms of use should be changed: /watch?v=szgwaYajKHA

It seems to me that the encryption capabilities aren't the whole story. If all of the knowledge of the transaction is held in the device making the request, how is your card or phone to know whether the request is for unnecessary information? At around 13:42, he mentions that "all the device on the door is allowed to ask is if you're over 18." Too much trust.

I think it'd have to be on a phone, and every time a request was made, it'd have to ask you to release the information.

I understand the concept that the device is only allows other devices to see the relevant information, however banks only allow the accounts of their customers to be viewed by that customer but this hasnt stopped people from hacking these accounts.

The technology is already here to allow one to walk by your pgone and just pick up the information. This is a great idea in concept but I would have to be convinced of how it is going to keep our data safe.

It's ok to have your limbs blown up in afghanistan at the age of 18. but you can't buy a bottle of beer prior to 21, because it's not good for your health. o_0
