@Mrsjkat4jesus I think if you do a more research you'll find that your proposition (i.e. the great flood killed off dinosaurs) is completely baseless. Else, please provide your references. Point me in the direction of the research, peer-reviewed publications, etc. You believe this stuff. You must have come across some incredibly compelling evidence.

@jimmmmybrady First, Strong's Concordance (which only references the KJV) translates 'chuwg', to mean circle, circuit, or compass. Plus, if you look at bible.cc you'll see there are a myriad of translations for each verse. Second, I am sorry I don't "damn well know that" [sic]. I apply critical review to the process of forming beliefs because beliefs form my world view. If there is no cogent proof on any premise or proposition, I don't say its true or not true. To do otherwise is irresponsible.

@MrSleevens Strong's Concordance is a World reknowned Hebrew-English Dictionary. In Isaiah the word used is "chuwg"it means circle, sphere. And you know damn well that the "four corners "refers to North,South,East and West.Stop playing games with semantics.

@Mrsjkat4jesus You say this like its all a matter of fact, when there is no real consensus on the translation. Look at the myriad of translations for each on bible.cc Like jimmmybrady, I ask you to consider whether or not you are applying a confirmation bias.

@jimmmmybrady You say '...strong concordance' [sic]. Is this really enough for your to believe the bible prophesied the earth being a sphere? And, if so, how do you reconcile the conflict with other verses which denote the earth has edges and corners. Could I please ask you to look up the definition of 'confirmation bias' on Wikipedia, and let me know if you think there is chance you might be looking at this using a confirmation bias.
-
@MrSleevens Yes it IS Isaiah 40;22 the word in the Hebrew is Chuwg, translated as circle, but in Hebrew means circle or SPHERE....STRONG'S CONCORDANCE.
-
@jimmmmybrady Where does bible say the earth was a sphere? Isaiah 11:12, Revelation 7:1, Job 28:13, Daniel 4:11, Matthew 4;8 all suggest the earth has edges or corners. Isaiah 40:22 doesn't use the word "sphere", it uses the word "circle". Please point out where the Bible says the Earth is a sphere in a clear unambiguous manner?

@MrSleevens If you have a son, you know that there had to be a father, right? King Solomon was a very well known King you know.He was King David's Son. Also how do people explain dinosaurs being fossilized all over the earth at the same time if there wasn't a large scale flood? It takes large amounts of sediment to cover large beasts such as those. A great flood would be the only explanation for a world wide situation like that, to be able to find large fossils all over the earth.

@jimmmmybrady No evidence of the Exodus has been found. Also, I've done the research. Prominent historians, archaeologists and theologians have all concluded that the Exodus never happened --do the research yourself. Therefore, yes, you'd be lying if you said the Exodus has been verified by archaeology and prophecies. This is not a strawman argument, especially since I am advocating that beliefs (i.e. accepting a premise or proposition as true) should not be adopted until they are proven.
@jimmmmybrady You said "the Bible 'is' always verified by archaeology and fulfilled prophecies". You did not say "so far". However, this begs the question; if biblical stories like the Exodus, the Great Flood, Kingdom of David, etc. haven't been proven yet, why believe they're true? Why not just hold it as an interesting idea in your mind until its been unequivocally proven or unproven. E.g. Several biblical verses suggests the earth is flat, when it turned out it was actually a sphere.

@MrSleevens How do I know that you don't seek truth????Because you use strawman arguments.I obviously didn't say everything in the Bible has ALREADY been verified by archaeology.I said SO FAR archaeology always CONFIRMS what is written in the Bible.
