@shr011104 --- NOt only that buddy, during the second stanza, which reads "Pillai peratha penmai thayanathu". the entire troop and the conductor Mr, govardhan stopped recording. And eveyone eyes are transfixed Janaki amma's recording room. IR was confused,and finally learnt when seeing Janaki in tears, those words and music made janaki feel something and she was crying unconsolably.
Its such an inspiring music. IR wrote about this in his autobiography.

Btw, Id lk 2 add sumthing intrsting. During recording of this song,. when S. Janaki ws snging, it seems that the orchestra forgot the notes/tune in the middle of the song mesmerized by the sheer melody of this Raja tune mixed with SJ's voice. They had to retake the entire song, which became the best of all times. Raja Raja thaan, Kooja Kooja thaan!
