  • First off, tune before you go on (or at least cut that part off the video!). Tuning for a full minute makes you look like you don't know what you're doing. I am inclined to think that that was the correct impression - you can mostly play the notes, but you aren't making music.

    PHRASE! The music needs to have direction and intent! It needs to GO somewhere. It's not enough to make each beat swell a bit.

    I am trying to ignore the sound quality. I hope it's the recording, not that you have no tone.

  • The second movement could have been much slower. It seemed more like an exercise then a piece

  • wow. this kinda sucks. especially the tuning for a whole minute. you should tune and rehearse before you go on stage.
