The 3.8 has a tough time moving the Unlimited. Take one out on the highway, go 70, hit the cruise, and see what happens when you hit a small incline. Downshift... downshift again... Engine now revving so high that my passenger asks "what are you doing?" Love the Jeep. Hate the engine.

@RussianAmericanArms Gains of 10 hp max on a chip that you wont even feel..... A real solution would be a small diesel.  The uk has a 2.8 desiel that has 300 torque. VW has a bunch of small diesel engines in the usa.

@chipalike they dont have much horses correct, its the Torque conversion thats impressive- my 90' Wrangler 4.2L carbureted engine that has 192hp and 290+tq and only weighs 3075lbs yet can still pull a good sized boat/trailer with equipment
