@sootch00 I don't want to critisize your statement about the 1 1/2lbs trigger but this is really the big idea of the accutrigger. I do not know the specifics but the special tab in the middle of the trigger is supposed to make it safe even with very light triggers. kind of like the glock safeaction. again, i'm no pro on the system, nor am I a pro in sniping, i'm just telling what I read about the accutrigger

@creativeprepper Probably wont find one for that rifle. Marlin is under rated and overlooked by many. Check out Boyds stocks, they do make stocks for the xl7.. as stated below, I love mine! You can always paint or duracoat the stock to your liking and add 1913 rails to the stock very easily.

I hated the choat stock on my model 12 varmint!... overly heavy and UGLY. I sold it and picked up a boyds stock and I bedded the action. My accuracy actually went from a 3 shot 3/4" at 100 yards to a 3 shot 1/2" at 100 yards. Love the savage rifles though... tough to beat!

I'm looking at the choate folding stock for savage rifles and I'm wondering if they are for internal or detachable magazines or both.

also any recommendations for other folding stocks for savage rifles.

I recently went and purchased a rifle exactly well not exactly like this one I have a question though mine is the FCP LE but my barrel is shorter than this one.

@marinegrunt777 I would use it to hunt. All of the rifles/handguns i will ever own will have a purpose in hunting. savage model 10's are great hunting rifles. The stock doesnt make the rifle. I hunted with my buddies bench rest rifle, thumb hole stock, the sucker weighed 11 pounds. I doubt military would use this over the m40 or any of the other rifles they currently have.

@sootch00 MAN! I loved his book, I read it from cover to cover and did a report on it. He is a special breed of man. We need more like him!
