Good mommy dog tending to her puppies, so cute!

@turbo4097 It costs 50.00 to make sure that she is healthy. To find out the number of puppies costs about 200 for x rays when they are over 45 days pregnant

@DrGregDVM I got totally screwed over at an Emergnecy Clinic when my pomeranian had complications and a puppy literally stuck breach in the birth canal, ended up losing the first puppy, and had to get a c-section for the other puppy, and it cost me over $2000! The second time I needed an Emergency c-section for my other pom, I lost 2 out of the 3 puppies and it was $1000... I need to find a vet that actually knows what the hell they are doing, and don't want to charge me a fortune.... =(

@KissKiss501 They do at first, then they come to life
Damn, she shot that pup right out. lol
When my dog had puppies before when I was young(she had a total of 14, but only 13 lived) one pup started coming out front leg first, and we knew that automatically that was bad, and my mum had to reach in there maneuver the pup so that it's head came out, but the puppy was already dead, it's neck was broken, do you have any idea how that happened? The sac it was supposed to be in was already broken when we pulled the pup out.

@xWolfHauntx When a bitch pushes and a puppy is stuck, the sac and other things can break from the force

Is it true it's a bad idea to handle young ones when a mother is giving birth because it could lead to the mother harming or killing her baby due to the human scent. Please explain. Thanks :)

@dzang96 Depends on how nervous the mother is.Good idea to let nervous or first time mothers bond before you handle the babies too much. Other mothers want help and support. If they are the nervous type give them space.

@DrGregDVM
Thanks for the explanation. I'm a soon to be junior in college and I would like to be a knowledgeable vet like you. My favorite video has to be the one with cat that had osteosarcoma; though it's kind of graphic, it's very informative nonetheless. :)

@dzang96 Thanks, I love to educate and show people what we do. I especially like exposing young people to the field so they know what to expect
