@evyization28 Finnish and swedish languages have almost nothing in common, only some letters like "Ä" and "Ö", and also we have borrowed quite many words from them :)

I'm Finnish American and only speak English. I feel kinda sad and empty whenever I see the old language. The rrrrr sound sounds like an angry animal in the night woods. Or maybe the sound of wild love. I like that. My grandmother spoke mostly Finnish. She was very quiet but when she did speak it was always with a big grin and a bunch of belly laughter. I never knew what she was saying but I knew I belonged to it. Like a leaf knows a root. Different parts of the same tree song concerto.

Thank you very much! I think this is really great! I met a finnish guy a couple of months ago, we became really good friends and I´d love to learn finnish! Since my mother tongue is serbian, it´s not very hard to pronounce finnish words because we also have 1 letter= 1 sound. The most difficult thing about finnish is that the words sound so unfamiliar to me, so it´s hard to learn them. But I hope I´ll learn it one day :)

I think finnish is very easy to pronunce for a spanish speaking person :). Every time a hear a finnish person speaking i think they could master spanish language too xD especially for the R sound :)

Okay, so when I see "r" it is always rolled? Are there words in which the letter "r" is not rolled or rolled less, as in Spanish?

It's easier, when you're polish becouse we are pronauncing our letters similiar. Of course arr, and this letters with dotts are new for me, but rest of them are similar :D Love finnish language :3
