I too am a lefty. Fairly new at tying. Both of my instructors have told me to always wrap OVER the top as I pwrap away from me (for lefties that would be counter-clock-wise), which seems to flaten the thread. I noticed that you wrap clock-wise. Do you find advantages this way, or is this what you are used to doing?
For a more realistic fly, you might want to keep the dubbing more compact in the abdomen, because stonefly nymphs don't have gills there, like mayfly nymphs do
Nicely tied. It would have been a better video if the tyer had worn a light coloured shirt/vest. The fly tying demo would have stood out more against a light background.
