Meizu M8 review by CNMO part 5

Translation by smellybeans: From this part of the review, we will gain a understanding of the different input styles available on the M8. Moving on, we will now look into its messaging capabilities & the likes. We will first unlock the device & enter into the messaging screen. The M8 can easily perform a delete on unwanted messages , very similar to the workings of the iPhone. To perform a delete , just place your finger at the position shown, do a sliding movement across the screen. But to add on,it can actually also be done via a sliding motion in any direction desired to get it into the state of deletion. We can also have multiple selections for several deletes, but as we've only 1 message on the device, its not possible to. Clicking on new message, we shall look into how the input for messaging is like. Shown on screen is the QWERTY keyboard. We can input text using swift touches on the keyboard with the touch of a finger, & as seen on the screen, we are able to use Hanyu Pinyin with the help of (Romanised text) to input chinese characters. The input style is continuous & similar to our desktop's use of the sogo input style. From clicking on the space button , we are able to choose the first option "Mandarin language" to convert the romanised characters into mandarin styled stroke characters. If we were to want to be able to switch back to the input of English text, we will need to click on the "backspace" button as shown. As it is the input of chinese characters on the keyboard currently, we are actually able to switch between English & Chinese text input fairly simple with a click on the button labeled "EN or CN". Shown on screen are actually more options just right beneath the QWERTY keyboard, one of them being the emocotion option via the default ones already on the phone. We can simply click on the send button once you're finished with the text.
