The NAL Saras (Sanskrit: सरस्: "Crane") is the first Indian multi-purpose civilian aircraft in the Light Transport Aircraft category designed by the National Aerospace Laboratory (NAL).
Its unit cost is rs 39 crore which is much less than foreign aircrafts.
IAF is intended to place an order of 45 such aircrafts.
Saras is one of the few aircraft to make use of a pusher propeller configuration
@squallpi
good point, but 139 cores is like 30 million USD, which is a good deal for multi-purpose civilian aircraft

sorry to break your heart love, as much as i want this plane to be 39 crores, it actually costs 139 crores... thats a lot more times expensive than foreign planes
but thats just what wikipedia says. perhaps in the future, NAS will bring the price down with mass manufacturing
