Old Zwinky Returning this week sometime between 09/12/10-09/18/10

Hi Zwinksters!
It's been a rocky road of late, and unfortunately not the delicious kind you can eat by the pint. The entire Zwinky Team has been reading your feedback, Znotes and Tweets about our new interface, as well as chatting with you about it in Zwinktopia. We know we let a lot of you down by releasing a new Zwinky that had bugs, and we're very, very sorry.

The new interface is still the future of Zwinky because it allows us to bring you many great features you've asked for -- including the fabulous Fashion Design Studio on the way. But, after much discussion, we've decided that until the new interface is perfectly perfect, we'll restore your old stomping grounds, the Zwinky desktop skin.

For the next few weeks, we'll keep the new interface offline while we work on the performance issues you reported in your feedback. (BTW, many of you did such a great job on this that we hope to enlist you for beta testing. More on this soon!) When we're sure all's good in new Zwinktopia's hood, we'll relaunch the new Zwinky for keeps.

Here are a couple of short term things you can expect in the transition:

1. The desktop skin returns some time this week. Yup, that soon. Please keep your eyes on this blog and on Twitter for updates!

2. Free ZCard for folks who logged into the new interface. If you popped into Zwinktopia between 8/19 and the day prior to our upcoming switch back, we're awarding your account 500 ZCard. We know you came to an imperfect world, and the gift is just a token of our appreciation that you've stuck by us.

3. Purchases and freebies you got in the new interface may take a few days to appear in the old one. Please don't panic if you don't see them! They'll return very, very soon! Our tech team is in the process of converting them for use in the desktop skin.

4. A tutorial for new Zwinkies who've never used the desktop skin is on the way. When the desktop skin launches, we'll post a quick orientation to show newcomers the ropes.

5. The themes at The Mix will briefly return to Cats, Rockstar, Pirate and Shore Chic. Soon after, we'll bring back The Best Of the Mix! Wondering what's the best in all that juicy goodness? YOU tell us! Vote in the poll below, and vote fast! It closes on Tuesday, 9/14 at 5 pm, EST.

@cuteypup13 Number one: You can't judge me by my zwinky. So in other words you can't call me ugly because you have no IDEA what I look like. Number 2: If i'm 5 years old then, I must be one of the smartest 5 year olds since I can make my own videos and edit them and type this well. That also makes me have a very large vocabulary. Number 3: My real zwinky username is NOT c0okiem0nster123, it's journeezz thank you very much. Number 4: I doubt that they're going to boot me from zwinky.
