This is exactly the reason old school bands shouldn't get together at shows consisting of people 21 and under. You can't even hear them play, just a bunch of kids screaming the lyrics. You're not in your room man, have some respect. I know it's cool to go nuts at a punk show, but that's lame, when did everybody become lead vocalist? I've seen the same crap in youtube videos where people sing op ivy, misfits, infest, and minor threat songs.SHUT THE FUCK UP!

@chillycheesefries having been in a touring band and knowing many other bands when youre on the road you live for kids knowing your lyrics having fun jumping off shit, when the line between band and crowd is erased it creates the greatest feeling you could ever know. YOU should have some respect.

Ironically, it was bands like Slapshot, the FUs and the Boston hardcore bands that were more "like jocks" than the New York bands, most of whom weren't about hate and stuff. Slapshot even had nationalist crap under the name "Stars & Stripes." New York hardcore bands like Born Against, Sick of it All, Reagan Youth, Judge, and of course Bold, Side by Side, and these guys had a much better message & much better music. Fuck Boston.

No. Second, how the fuck is grabbing the mic and singing along disrespectful when the singer puts it out there for you to grab? The point of going to shows is to participate and have a good time, not to stand around like some boring fuck. Maybe you just need to get off the internet and get out to a show.

@chillycheesefries You must not know what hc is about, It started as a brother/sisterhood. The lyrics are about and for everyone, thats why bands have sing along parts during their shows. Bands like y.o.t. and gorilla biscuits s.s.d. and all those old school se bands were scene kids that formed bands. Those lyrics mean something to scenesters because it's their life.
