Hey guys,

Thanks for your interest and for listening. This album wasn´t really planned; it just happened. It didn´t take me long to record, but unconsciously I have been working on it for about a year. I went into the studio with Outland thinking that NOW we were going to produce new material but something stood in the way. I was writing and thinking in DANISH...
I had a word with the boys and came to the conclusion that I wasn´t able to find peace to work on the Outland album until I got these Danish songs out of my head. Then I went into another studio with a completely new line up and three months later the result was there and August the 27th. you will have the possibility to listen to it.
It has been a very painless and easy process to make this album, and I have learned a lot from working this way. Everything is live; from the musicians to the beats. All people involved have done a tremendous job and have given me lots of inputs. I have felt creative in a very pleasant way; no ego, only inspiration. The songs are about my thoughts and my environment in Copenhagen. The topics vary from social conditions to some more personal and complex; hope, loss, patience and happiness.
As a lyricist; to write in Danish is to me not the same as to write in English. I have always felt more protected by the melody and the language barriers, when I have expressed myself in English. In Danish everything is more naked, more direct, more actual. Ever since I recorded "Man Binder Os På Mund Og Hånd", I have loved to sing in my "native tongue", and I hope to record many more albums.
The title of the album is "Institution" and it is the first release on my own label, Elmoro Records. My aim is to release music with soul, self-esteem and originality. No limits in terms of genre, language or expression.

Hvor er det dejligt at have så talentfulde musikere med så stærke internationale rødder og fornemmelser turde fortolke gamle danske sange. Hvor ville jeg ønske vi havde flere som dig Isam til at bygge broer i det danske samfund. For det er det du gør med din musik.
