Naduparambil Pappachen Pradeep (born 28 April 1983) is an Indian footballer. A defender by trade, Pradeep hails from Thodupuzha, Idukki district in Kerala. He is the only player, other than K. Ajayan, from Kerala currently representing his country. He was also the captain of India's U-23 team. Pradeep plays for 2005/06 NFL champions Mahindra United.
Pradeep is a regular on the Indian National Team. He plays as an attacking midfielder and has often scored scorching long rangers. He has played for India in the AFC Asia Cup 2007 qualifiers and scored a goal against Yemen. Pradeep has also represented India in the Vancouver Whitecaps Invitational in 2006 scoring a goal there as well. He played extremely well in India's exposure trip to Portugal in 2007 where they played Portuguese club sides.

His most memorable performance was perhaps in the Nehru Cup 2007 where he scored 2 stunning goals, including the goal in the finals versus Syria which won India the cup. Incidentally he opened and also closed the scoring in the Nehru Cup 2007.

Pradeep is remarked by critics as a player whose talents and skills can potentially surpass former Indian captain I. M. Vijayan.

  • hahah indian footbal??this is soo funny

  • @losers638 for now... wait for a few years and they will definitely be a competitive side :)

  • @losers638 Well 2014 is too soon... its my mistake for saying "few years". Ya i get the sarcasm but since i am an optimist... i think in about 2 to 3 decades, India can be competitive in the world stage. Hopefully we do have a league as good as the EPL and we do produce players like Ronoldo and Messi. Yes some Indians shall stick to cricket, and some will start and stick to playing football! And thanks for saying "god" hopefully god will help us :)

  • @aloha422 i was in india during ipl time and all i could hear abput was cricket..thats when i realised the love for the game..well it is possible

  • @losers638 ya, but if you go to Kolkata, Goa and rural areas, football is a huge thing. Its the marketing and the Infrastructure of the game thats lacking in the country. There is great amount of talent that is going to waste. If you want watch my other video. it shows the decent plays that India made against top teams in Asia like Australia, South Korea and Bahrain. I strongly believe that with proper marketing, infrastructure and youth development, India can become a footballing nation

  • We will win .sure.you must read world history.........

  • India will win the 2020 fifa world cup

  • @aloha422 I think so too. I am Norwegian, but I am fascinated by football in obscure football countries (for Norwegians and Europeans in general), but I think there is a lot of potential. Just get the infrastructure right, and give Baichung Bhutia the job of football president, he seems to have his ideas right from what I've seen and heard from him.

  • @losers638 You are not exactly producing any Messis or Ronaldos yourself......................

  • who d hel says india is not a gud football team they r the best n soon they will b d champions watch it................
